BRETT GRIMES DESIGN
Werewolves Of Mass Destruction is the first in a line of pulp stories about the hero Ajax Stewart. The design mimics a battered paperback and the typography echoes German propaganda posters.
Our hero, Ajax Stewart, also gets a logo and treatment to be displayed across all of his books featuring an M. C. Escher-inspired impossible object, fitting for the Engineer of the Impossible.
Hell Bent For Leather is a Western of the weirdest kind, featuring a special golden revolver and the devil incarnate, all under the hot Texas sun.
This being the first in a series, I had to set a standard for the rest of the covers to follow. Using a bold background color, a letter replacement featuring a custom woodcut style illustration, and unique typography will tie the series together and help it stand out from other books of the genre.
FAITH: A HEIST GAME
I'm a long time fan of tabletop role-playing games and jumped at the opportunity to design a cover for one.
Faith is a gritty heist game full of surprises and big reveals. The cover screams caution and the opposing angles lend a sense of convergence and inevitability.
